MEGA DINO FUN

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bottom Line Up Front: A 9 out of 10 and is a excellent dinosaur that will bring your kids hours of joy while they terrorize their other toys with.
Build: Very solid build with lots of details. The paint job on the head and body is excellent, however, it did not extend down into the limbs and tail which could have been improved with some additional color along the spine and claws. The articulation of the limbs and tail is outstanding. Movement is easy enough to move limbs freely but tight enough to stay in the exact place you want it. It allows lots of flexibility to stand on its own without being loose and falling over. Chomping action is easy to use and works well, however, it is quick and hard to find the sweet spot to keep the mouth open when pressing the button. The chomping action also limits the motion of the head. The bottom of the foot also includes a code to use with the Jurassic World Facts app that is educational and really brings the dino to life on the screen.

Overall: We have purchased several Jurassic dinosaurs from Mattel over the years. The quality, details and easy of use never disappoint. This Carcharodontosaurus is no exception. Our kids enjoyed playing with this and really enjoyed the chomping action as the Carcharodontosaurus tore through mega block city. Would make an excellent addition for any kid interested in dinosaurs.

A Break Out Hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great and fun toy for kids to play with. The dual-chomping action was enjoyed by my kids and the break-out of the capture harness was well received and fun. The dinosaur's articulation was also well executed and the dinosaur has no problem standing and does not fall over as some others in the line are prone to. The color scheme is very appealing and my kids' only complaint was that the color did not extend all the way down the tail (specifically the dorsal spikes), they are not painted a different color on the tail to match the darker color on the main body. The play action for the break-out feature does work (pushing the button on the rear causes the capture harness to break open) but my six year old really had to push hard with both thumbs for it to work. I would suggest slightly adjusting the tension, if possible, for future offerings with the same feature. Overall my kids loved playing with it and it literally stayed in his hands for hours which, as parents can attest, is the sign of a successful toy!
