You will need to hard-boil your egg for about 12 minutes. Then decorate it so that you can distinguish your egg from everybody else's.
| Down the Slope
Find a good, steep hill, and stand in
a line at the top. At a given signal,
everyone rolls their egg down the
hill and runs after it. Hands are not
allowed to touch the eggs at any
time.
In the Garden
If you like this idea but can't find a
hill, make a racecourse for your
eggs in the garden. |

Cut out a piece of card or strong paper into a cloud shape - vaguely round with wavy edges. Get lots of cotton wool balls and stick them down on to the card so that it is completely covered in white fluff.
| To finish off, dab on two splodges of
black paint in the middle for the
lamb's eyes. Cut out four paper or
card legs and colour them in black.
Turn the lamb over and glue
these on to the back of paper
or card so that they dangle
downwards. |

If your baby seems to be bored with all the usual toys, have a play session full of different textures. Find some objects round the house that feel very different.
| Sit on the floor next to your baby and stroke the
back of their hands or arms with the objects,
one at a time. Then hand them over to the baby.
This is all about letting them explore textures,
and they will do that with their gums just as
much as their hands! |
